I offer in-person counselling from my private therapy room in East Bristol, as well as online and telephone sessions.
If you are considering therapy but aren't sure whether it is right for you, I offer a free 15–20 minute initial consultation. This gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what you're looking for, ask any questions you may have, and see whether I might be the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to book ongoing sessions.
I have particular experience working with women affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse and trauma. I can offer support with the effects these experiences may have on areas such as:
anxiety and depression
shame and self-blame
self-esteem and confidence
relationships and boundaries
feeling disconnected or lost
difficult or traumatic memories
PTSD and trauma responses
identity and sense of self
self-injury
body image
You don't need to have a particular diagnosis or know exactly what is wrong before starting therapy. Sometimes it can simply feel as though things have become difficult to manage, and you would like some space to understand what is happening.
Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually held weekly. We can review how things are going as we work together and consider whether the frequency of sessions remains right for you.
